Confirm customer concern. Has code P0301 stored in PCM. Clear codes and test drive vehicle. Vehicle has a hard misfire under heavy load – worst when at WOT. Will need time to remove intake plenum in order to be able to swap injectors, plugs, coils, and check compression. Remove intake plenum and check compression of cylinder 1. 125 PSI. Same compression on cylinder 6. Check cylinder and piston condition with borescope – looks normal. Swap injector from cylinder 1 to cylinder 4, spark plug to cylinder 5 and coil to cylinder 6. Reassemble engine, clear codes and test drive. P0306 for cylinder 6 misfire sets. Recommend replace cylinder 6 ignition coil (The customer installed new part) REPLACED NOW CYL6 COIL, TOOK FOR TEST DRIVE MONITORING DATA, NO MORE MISFIRE AT THIS TIME.

Attempt to test drive vehicle, has harsh engagement in drive and reverse. Transmission hunting for gears. Check engine light is on. Found code P0757 – Shift Solenoid B Stuck On, P0C2C – Electric Transmission Fluid Pump Control Module Feedback Signal Range/Performance, P2701 – TransmissionFriction Element B Apply Time Range/Performance. Inspect transmission fluid – looks like motor oil and smells foul. Recommend replace transmission and external transmission fluid pump (Does not come with most replacement transmissions)

Engine light is off. Check for codes and found P0299 for engine underboost. Inspect turbo hoses for leaks – none found. Inspect wastegate actuators by applying pressure – movement is smooth at this time. Test drive vehicle – has all the power it should – scantool shows 24-26 PSI of boost. Unable to duplicate customer concern at this time. Recommend return when problem is more frequent or engine experiences lack of power.
